If you’re a child of the 90s, Home Alone was/is your go-to Christmas movie. There was just something magical about watching savvy Kevin McCallister go up against the likes of Harry and Marv to defend his home with DIY booby traps while his family vacationed without him.

But what would Home Alone look like in our highly digital world of 2018? Leave it to Google to deliver us the answer.

Thanks to a new commercial for Google Assistant, we get to see Kevin McCallister left home alone again. In this throw-back commercial featuring beautifully reworked shots from the original movie, Macaulay Culkin returns to his iconic role as an adult. He’s older, wiser, and thanks to his Google Assistant, he’s able to ward off some potential trouble by working smarter, not harder.
