14. Avengers: Captain America and Buckeye
Forget Iron Man, Hulk, and friends. Captain America and Buckeye would rather make their own adventures out in the wilderness than save the world from aliens. Calvin always preferred destroying things anyway, so once he’s done pretending to be an Avenger, he’ll probably return as Loki to force entire cities of miniature snowmen into servitude.
13. Star Wars: Darth Sidious and Darth Vader
As the Emperor would say about this piece, “Goooooooooooood”. Calvin as Sidious just works. In fact, Mike stated that this was his favorite piece to draw because of how perfectly Calvin’s evil grin worked for the Sidious character. He also loved the balance of the Death Star window as the backdrop, and found this piece to have the best over-all design and aesthetics.
12. Game of Thrones: Tyrion Lannister and Varys
Ever since Varys saved Tyrion, claiming his importance to the greater war to come, it may or may not be Mike’s believe (we’re speculating on this one) that the two will go on to form a wonderful friendship in the coming seasons. With the show’s decision to deviate from the books, there’s no reason that we shouldn’t expect Tyrion and Varys to spend many late nights laughing and dancing to some tunes in the seasons to come. After all, it’s about time Game of Thrones fans were given a pleasant surprise.
