Zimmerman sues NBC over manipulated tapes

Washington Post

Like many racialists NBC tried to make Zimmerman appear to be a racist stalker because it fits their narrative. They manipulated the 911 tapes to make it sound like Zimmerman was concerned about Martin because of his race.

It was a disgusting abuse of their power of the "press" and I hope he wins big. I also wish he could sue all the others who defamed and libeled him.

While I understand the need for good ratings I don't think its right that these news organizations edit what people say or do to make it sound or look worse. They all do it and when they do you are only getting part of the story and may make it hard for someone to get a fair trial.
I seriously wish they wouldn't do this and he should sue them or anyone that did this.

That's exactly right Hilander, not only is it slander, because they are in essance calling him a racist, they are making it difficult for him to get a fair trial. I hope this goes to trial and he wins, and wins big. It is a disgusting abuse of the power of the press.

This is a clear cut case of slander and misinterpretation on the victim, Zimmerman. This is something the public media should be ashamed and embarassed about, if this can happen, it can happen to anyone. The man has got enough dealing with the trial, but to add this onto his plate when the media was 100% at fault, just disgusting.

Here’s how NBC News portrayed the audiotape:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.
The full tape went like this:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
“We strongly disagree with the accusations made in the complaint. There was no intent to portray Mr. Zimmerman unfairly. We intend to vigorously defend our position in court.”

Really? I've come to not expect much from NBC and they still don't meet those standards. They seem to be lying through their teeth every time they say anything these days. (there was also that big attack on Mitt Romney's character that turned out to be falsified.)

I think that it's so wrong that the media seems to be a business completely devoid of ethics. How are we to deal with things like this?

What's worse is that they seem to hold the belief that they were absolutely right to report on the Trayvon Martin case exactly as they did. I hope that Zimmerman wins it big against NBC, this is his life we're talking about and NBC is doing everything just for the ratings.

Sickening, absolutely sickening the lack of ethics NBC is displaying here.
