Wonderful story from Estonia

Estonia Uses the Euro, and the Economy is Booming
News Headlines

Estonia’s achievement is all the more remarkable when you consider that it was one of the countries hardest hit by the global financial crisis. In 2008-2009, its economy shrank by 18 percent. That’s a bigger contraction than Greece has suffered over the past five years.
How did they bounce back? “I can answer in one word: austerity. Austerity, austerity, austerity,” says Peeter Koppel, investment strategist at the SEB Bank.
Tere, Estonia! Thank you Estonia for being a shining light to a dark world. :(

The mods pointed out that this was a directionless thread, which is fair to say and I appreciate the clarity. So to add to it, this is a thread about austerity. The world is searching for answers to the mess we are in and austerity has been shown to be the answer. It was the answer in Wisconsin where in a very short time a deficient was turned into a surplus. It is the answer in Estonia that was hit hardest by the financial meltdown and is now one of the few countries in the Euro doing better.

Its also about unity. Estonia studied what was happening and they decided as a country they would get through this together without the strife that Greece and other Euro nations have been through. Rather than socialist and communist marching on the streets and burning cars, they worked harder and smarter. They educated themselves.

The article really was wonderful and it really did give me a lot of hope.
