What auction sites have you used?

I have used eBay and Overstock. I would like to try Yahoo sometime as well.

I'm sure everybody here has used eBay, but what other sites do you use also?

I have never sold anything online. There are pros and cons both ways, but I hate having to mess with shipping, eBay user charges, and all the hidden costs of doing it online. There's more to it than just the sell price.

I use mostly ebay. Is Overstock pretty much the same like ebay?

Similar concept. On Overstock though, if somebody bids in the last 10 minutes, 10 minutes are added to the auction before it is over.

Gives everybody a chance to get their bid in, and also means more money for you.

so basically, Overstock has it to where someone cant get sniped, unless they are not paying attention

    That's an interesting development.

I would make an auction site where everytime someone bid, it increased the auction time by 5 minutes. That way, the bidding could go on indefinately, and the bidders would be bound to their bids. Obviously the sole reason for this is more money for me.

Well that's how Overstock works. It has a set time, but then towards the end, it adds 10 minutes each time someone bids. Same idea, and it's good because you can get the most for your money.

They don't have near the memberbase that eBay has though, but it's growing pretty quickly.

Does overstock have the traffic that Ebay does? I don't sell a lot of things....use to but now it's mostly kids clothes (the good ones) every season.....stuff she's outgrown. Make enough to shut the hubby up when I go buy her another zillion dollar new wordrobe :) (or is that wardrobe? Where is Speel check?) :D I've checked yahoo and a couple of others for buying but so far haven't purchased anything on them.

Gee you all type fast....answered my question as I was asking it :D

Sorry. Didn't see this post. Overstock doesn't have near the traffic that eBay does unfortunately. It's a good site though, and will be great once it has more traffic!

I've tried Yahoo but it's not nearly as much hit as ebay. With the same product and price, I can sell at least 5 times better on ebay.
