I'm sure we're all pretty sure what a cover song is, but for those that don't, a cover song is a song that's originally done by one band, but then another band plays the song in their style.

Some of my favorites include but are not limited to:

All Along the Watch Tower - Originally done by Bob Dylan - Covered by Jimi Hendrix

Turn the Page - Originally done by Bob Seger - Covered by Metallica

Hurt - Originally done by Nine Inch Nails - Covered by Johnny Cash

Losing My Religion - Originally done by REM - Covered by Graveworm

What are some of your favorite cover songs?

Oh. I actually thought that Hurt was originally done by Johnny Cash. I had it backwards. I like the NIN version of that one better.

The one that comes to mind immediately is Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson, covered by Spiderbait.

That's a pretty good version of Drops of Jupiter. You say you like anything by Boyce Avenue. Are they are cover band or do you just like they're style?

I like the NIN version, too, but I think Johnny Cash just adds that deep, timeless kind of twist on it. I can almost taste the pain in it when he sings Hurt.

Spiderbait? I'm not saying that they didn't cover it, but are you sure you aren't talking about Alien Ant Farm?

Ugh. You are right. I combined them. haha

I LOVE Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm and Spiderbait's cover of Black Betty.

Combining them into a singular thought did not work out for me. lol

Excuse me, I got very little sleep last night.
