We gotten our taxes done and efiled. Do you know of a way to check on the status of your refund?

Congrats! You can check for your refund at the irs website or by calling. I got my refund last week, it didn't take long at all.

I'm hoping to go through it all in the next few weeks though.

I don't know why I waited so long, but I finally got ours done about a
week ago. It was relatively painless, too. As far as checking refund
status goes, the place where I did ours gave me a link to check on that.
Generically I don't know how it would be done without a link to your return
like that.

Okay, go to the irs.gov web site (if you're in the US, that is!) and put
"refund status" in the search. The link to check on it will come up there.
You'll need the taxpayer's SSN, the filing status, and the exact amount
of the refund. I just checked ours and if they don't find a problem, we
can expect the refund by April 3. Just in time for our trip... that's cool
enough!

My taxes are done. I did them on April 4, 2007 online with e-file so no sending any mail to the IRS, which is very nice. Also didn't have to try to figure everything out, just enter the information and it calculates for you.
