It's one of the most widely read and critically acclaimed graphic novels in history. And now after two decades of wrangling, Watchmen is coming to the big screen from director Zack Snyder, who adapted Frank Miller's bloody 300 into a box-office smash. But for fans of the book who have read the dark and complex book over and over -- and I include myself in that category -- the job of condensing the sprawling epic into a two-hour movie seemed to be impossible.

I was invited on Wednesday to a screening of over twenty minutes of footage from "Watchmen," and I have to say that it looks like Snyder has done the impossible.

Full Story
I realize there is a watchmen thread already, but the whole content of that particular thread pretty much had little to no info or regard to the movie.

This article has me even more excited. I saw the trailer back when I saw the dark knight and it was enough to get me to purchase and read the watchmen novel. All I can say is, this should be friggin awesome.

I love the fact they are not dolling it up and making it PG... Keeping it dark and R-Rated is gonna be the only way to do it if you ask me.

I cant wait until March 6th.

But.. how do they explain the pages and pages of back story between the separate groups, relationships, and downfalls?
