Vista Sound Card question

Registered Member
Is there a way to use 2 or 3 sound cards at the same time in Vista? If there is no way to do it on the os alone is there software out there that I can get that will allow me to do this?

I'm sure it's possible but I've never done it.

Why do you need to run more than one card?

I'd check out google and find something if nobody can give you an answer here.

run multiple sound cards - Google Search

My best guess would be to go into the preferred devices under audio settings, I myself don't use Vista hardly ever so there's not much that i can help you with. Under preferred devices though you should be able to select which cards to use for whichever things you want.

Trust me, I'm The Doctor.
You can install both and switch between them in device manager.

Why do you need to have multiple sound cards?

Having to switch between them sucks imo.
basicly its like this I have my bose usb audio sound then the motherboard sound card and then I've got a usb headset. I was thinking if I could hook up extra speakers to the motherboard for more sound
