Trade market references

Registered Member
Is it any trade market reference link where the dummies (like me) can learn some symbols like .ob or UN, and have it as a quick reference when its needed? I'm defenitively learning a lot from the MoneyForum, but I need a quick reference too... :D

Yahoo! Finance also has a ticker symbol lookup tool. You just enter the name of the company or part of it, whether it's stocks or mutual funds or whatever, and whether or not it's just in North America or worldwide. Probably just the name is enough.

Anyway, the link is

I use it all the time (got it bookmarked). It even will tell you which markets are supported and what the lag time is in Yahoo!'s info. I guess there's a "real-time" version you can use to look at prices, but I just use it for ticker symbols.
