To Room 19 by Doris Lessing

A TV series I'm watching introduced me to this specific short story. Upon further research, "To Room 19" is actually a short story collection created by Doris Lessing. This particular story tells the journey of a housewife named Susan who is looking for her purpose in life despite seemingly perfect family.

I was already spoiled of the course of the story, but it sounded like an honest-but-painful take at society's expectations of married women. It questioned what freedom actually was. It gave one answer, but it made me think of other possible answers.

I haven't actually started, but one day I definitely will.
