To Level or not to Level, that is the question

    I am highly considering doing away with the level system.

    All in favor say "I" lol :lol:

    Pros: Less people joining just to plug their auctions and never come back.
    Cons: Less people joining and being able to post other things?

    The current level system I believe is 5 posts for level 2, and 10 for level 3.

    Please post your thoughts. Thanks.

    I think that with the premium membership that is here, the other leveling really doesn't matter.

    I am definetly in favor of the leveling system. BUT (isnt there always a but...) at the moment I think its a little difficult to level quickly. Maybe keep level 1 to continue to keep spam at a minimum and after a few friendly posts and allowing the new member to get a feel for the boards they should be allowed to start new threads in the other places...

    There wasnt a 'I like levels, but there *could* be some changes made*' box so I didnt vote :p

    I voted to remove the levels, although I do agree with Iggy....wouldn't be much fun if people only joined to spam.

    I took the best of both worlds and changed the leveling process to be much quicker now. It's now 5 to get to Level 2, and 20 to get to Level 3. Level's 1 and 2 are the main ones anyway. 3 is mainly for advertising.

    The level system is now in place only for extra features like more PM storage space. All members can now post in all sections, except of course the premium sections.

    ok so then we get flooded with noobs over your contest and they proceed to fill the place with spam and post auctions? and website crap?

    Well, there's nothing stopping us from deleting posts and banning people if people cause problems.
