Okay here's my preview of today's game 1. Pitching matchup KC: RHP Brandon Duckworth (1-1, 4.96 ERA) A strong showing from the Royals bullpen and an opportunistic offense enabled Duckworth to earn his first victory with Kansas City on Saturday. He yielded five runs and 10 hits in five innings as he defeated the Brewers. After struggling through a four-run fourth inning, Kansas City bailed him out with five tallies of their own in the bottom half, giving the club a lead it didn't relinquish. STL: RHP Jeff Suppan (6-4, 5.09 ERA) Suppan hasn't been bad lately, but he hasn't been great either. He's lasted more than six innings just once in his past seven starts. Then again, he's made it at least five innings in six out of seven, as well. The right-hander is at his best when he's locating his fastball and getting ahead. Player to watch: Albert Pujols Pujols has been relatively quiet since coming off the disabled list last week, but he could explode against Duckworth. The Cardinals slugger is batting .444 with two doubles in nine at-bats against the right-hander.
