Hey guys and gals, I spend some of my time mashing tracks to create dance mixes to distribute at parties (or, occassionally, mix live), and I figured I'd throw this proposition out there. Does anyone have a song or five in mind that they'd like to hear deconstructed and rebuilt in the midst of a ten-minute mix? I'm incredibly bored and only part time employed for the next month, and I'd like to hear what you guys would like to hear..

I've got a sample track up at my electronica act profile ( - first track, Deceptalove) from a live set recorded around the last week of spring semester. The timing falls out, as I did increasingly throughout that night. Ahh, alcohol..

Hey now, these songs on the link are freaking awsome! Now to you only mash up songs by request or ones that you know mostly? I have a couple ideas but didn;t know if you would be able to mash any of them, most of them would be like old 90's dance/pop hits mixed with groups like Daft Punk or something like that.....would that work out?

"He Is Past" and "Children of Bolywog" are my favorite so far, nice work on them!

Hahah, it's funny you mention Daft Punk because at the last party I looped certain parts of 'Around the World' to coincide with JT's Sexy/Back, and then brought in some Mos Def a capellas after a while to keep it going and it seemed to be enjoyable.

But yes! That would work. I'm just looking for external influence, because even though I've got approximately 40,000 tracks on an assortment of hard drives, I get into ruts and tend to compartmentalise myself to certain genres. So anything, as off the wall as it might be, would be a good suggestion.

Aw, thanks, most of my friends take a listen and say, "hm. yeah, that's something else."

First I must say that Around The World by Daft Punk is my favorite song! I first heard it on a Daria episode, lol.

Thats cool though, I was wondering are you mashed (besides the ones on the link) similar to these I found on youtube? I put them on my iPod and wonder do you use a similar style?
    Yeah vs. Toxic

These are just some Examples, but just wanted to know if you've heard of them before or use thier kind of mixing techniques as well.
