The Macbeth King

Has anyone noticed the odd similarities between Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and Disney's "The Lion King"?

Such as:

In Macbeth, Macbeth hires three murderers to kill Banquo and his son, Fleance. Fleance escapes and later comes back after Macbeth is killed and wins the throne.

In The Lion King, Scar "hires" three hyenas to kill Mufasa and his son, Simba. Simba escapes and later comes back to kill Scar and win the throne.

You could also compare Macbeth's Three Witches to The Lion King's Rafiki, as a type of prophetic character.

Haha I've never noticed that before, very similar stories indeed. Stories always get repeated though, just in a different format.
