The first new Narnia movie in a long time is here. I heard it cost 9/10ths of the total production cost of the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, just to make this ONE movie.
I can understand that seeing that C.S. Lewis has far more fictional characters in his stories than Tolken did. Lots of talking animals, and other odd beings that couldn't easily be created with just a bit of makeup. Orcs are easier to put in a movie than a talking lion, let alone the rest of the creatures.
I am hoping to go see this tomorrow. I really have high hopes for it, and from what I've been hearing it lives up to the hype.
