Here is an article that mirrors what happens here on GF and also demonstrates the tactic that will be used more and more as election time comes near.

washingtonpost.com

Once again, the ruling class elitist minority will try to discount, discredit, and demonize anyone who does not share their agenda no matter how unpopular.

The claims of racism, Islamophobia, and others are meant to villify and quash dissent. It's the fallback position for those that can't argue on substance.

Name calling is much easier than debating. Defending the failed 4 year record of the leftist democrat agenda would be an unpleasant and unpopular position. Yes, it is much easier to smear those that oppose the radical agenda than to defend it and the devastating effects that are already resulting from their liberty-loathing socialist redistributive policies.

And unlike the obvious delusion the title of this thread suggests of its poster, it's a tactic that doesn't know any boundary be it race, religion, creed, or political denomination. The big political names on both sides are nothing but grown up children that make fun of each other.

Krauthammer wrote a good piece. It must be horrible to believe that the things you support has been rejected because the majority of Americans are dumb, racist, homophobic bigots.

Oh yeah, I agree, I didn't say it didn't have any boundries. Both sides are guilty of it. Admittedly I'm biased just like everyone else, but I do see it happening more on the left recently however, whether it be criticizing the president, protesting against his policies, the Arizona immigration law, etc....but as I said, both sides are guilty of doing it.
