His last 4 years were putrid and he was guaranteed over 100 million dollars.

Oscar scored, rebounded, and had assists.
Kobe pretty much just scored.
If you look at his yearly top ten stats he was mostly at the 6-10 slots except for total points. He clearly was never one of the top 5 players in the NBA at any time in his career.

I got Kobe sitting outside my top 10, but just barely. Probably #11 or #12. Bryant might be overrated by a lot of fans, but hating people who bash is career is something I'll never understand. He was a dominant scorer, and yes, having Shaq helped him championship wise, but he could carry a team on is own.

To me, Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Jordan and Duncan are all clearly better than Kobe. LeBron probably is too, barring a catastrophic injury. So, that's six guys right there. From there, I think it's defensible to have him anywhere from #7 to the 20s, depending on how much you value his postseason performance and team chemistry stuff, both of which obviously have a ton of variables to them.

In his prime he was a 30/5+/5+ guy, with close to two steals. They don't grow on trees.

Also, why do you use a stat like FGMissed to make an argument? He also attempted the most FGs for most of those years while taking a lot of threes. FG% would make far more sense....but obviously not fit in to your argument so you use an obscure stat that fits.

And if you notice, Jordan led the league in missed FGs in 5 of the 6 championship years.....my how did the Bulls win with this guy dragging them down all those years?

Oscar and Wilt are the only worthy GOAT candidates.

And KOBE was a one dimensional shot hog. In reality Kobe is a THIRD TIER career player.

Just like Gretzky was the result of Kurri, Coffey and Messier.

Come on, man. That statement I quoted is extremely flawed.

I'm in favor of getting out of their leagues anybody who can't stop making that ridiculous annoying-ass mouth-smacking sound anytime they open their mouths on TV to say anything. Kobe is probably one of the worst. I honestly do not care how good they are, what they've done, or what they have to say. Either control what comes out your front end or get the hell off my TV.

Same with Terry Francona. Glad when that guy was no longer managing the Red Sox. Don't mind if he comes back as long as he's not on a team that's ALWAYS ON the frikkin' TV.

And no this is not being anal. They're being disgusting. It would be unacceptable if it came out the BACK end of your body, so don't let it come out the front end either.
