Two students in Kansas were suspended after they said a teacher accidentally showed a pornographic image in class.

The teacher, whose name was not released, turned on an overhead projector connected to his laptop computer during a first-period biology class at JC Harmon High School, and students briefly saw the explicit image, reported KCTV-TV.

Kansas City students suspended for sharing photo of teacher showing porn in class
I think this teacher should have deleted his porn before taking his laptop to class. I don't understand why you would keep porn on a laptop you use at school to begin with. I also don't think these students should have been suspended for this. There wouldn't have been anything to take a picture of and share if the teacher hadn't of been a idiot.

One parent thinks their son was suspended in a effort by the school to cover this up. At this point it also doesn't look like these suspensions will be overturned.

Thoughts?

As usual, the wrong people are punished.

I think the teacher should've at the very least had disciplinary action taken against him. You just don't keep porn on a work laptop. That's just a stupid thing to do right there.

Quite frankly, it's beyond stupid to suspend the children for something that wasn't their fault to begin with. It's like charging the victim of a crime for the crime. Absolutely no logic to that whatsoever. I agree with Hi in that there's something fishy going on there.

And if they think for one second that those children have never seen worse, they're deluding themselves.

I wouldn't say the wrong person is being punished but I would say the teacher should have also been punished. Whether this was a work laptop or a home laptop bringing anything compromising into a work environment is very serious especially with it being a school. However that being said the kids should still be suspended, they have to have known sharing this around was wrong, why not bring it up to the head of the school? Why photograph and spread it around? Sorry but this is a foolish move.

With that being said I am not convinced there is not more to this story, reading how this article is written is like reading something out of Just17 (or whatever kids read these days), it is so sloppy and written in such a juvenile way that if I were the editor I would not have allowed this to be published.
