Actually... that didn't prove anything to be moot, just that one is illegal. It still won't stop fansubs from being downloaded. Getting back to sub or dub, a dub is actually very appropriate for some series which arent very Japanese in setting or characters. Series such as FullMetal Alchemist, Berserk, or Trigun have very few inherent Japanese characteristics other than the animation (Vash couldn't even read Japanese in the anime, for crying out loud).
