Stuffed Peppers

    pro2A Hell, It's about time!

    Anyone know a good recipe for stuffed peppers? I was gonna make some for dinner. Not a copy and paste from Google either, your own recipe.

    This may not be to your taste but i love it.

    Plain cous cous, Soak it in a vegatable stock cube.
    Fry garlic, onions, mushrooms and bacon.
    Add it to the cous cous.
    Fill your pepper, In the oven.

    It's one of my favorite meals.

    yes I do in fact... lemme dig out the big Recipe De' Goat Book:

    what you'll need:

    6 Large Jalapenos
    6 Slices of Monterey Jack or Mozzarella (about a half inch thick)
    flour for "dusting"
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
    2 large or 3 small eggs, separated (whites in one bowl, yolks in another)

    Put the jalapenos in a bowl and add bowling/sclading water until they are covered. Let 'em sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour until they've softened up.

    When you're ready to move on, Leave stems on and slit down one side removing and tossing the seeds. Put one slice of cheese inside each pepper, and dust with flower.

    Start heating the oil

    beat the egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Beat the whites until they stand in peaks. If youre not sure what that means, check here: How to beat or whip egg whites

    Fold the Yolks into the whites and dip each pepper in the egg mixture until will coated.

    Fry at once in hot oil turning once and spoooing oil over the uncooked places... do this until golden brown

    Its all surprisingly easy, dont let it intimidate ya ;)
