There's no way he's going to be a relief pitcher, especially for that much money. The reason why they offered him that contract is because the Yankees want him to be their fourth or fifth starter. They don't want him to be in the bullpen.

I do agree with you when you say hes not good as he once was but he could be a good fourth or fifth starter for the Yankee team.

Hey Andy, you should of just taken the 10 mil when you had the chance :lol:

But seriously, it's tough enough seeing him in any other uniform (those few years in Houston were wierd). He did have a lousy stretch in the second half last year, however at this point he's going to likely be at the bottom of the rotation, he's still a veteran presence with a few rings, and he can still contribute. With regards to age as an example nobody gave Mussina a chance of doing anything viable or relevant last season, but when it was said and done he had his first 20 win season in his career.
