Is it just me or was the crowd at the inauguration just flat out rude and disrespectful to Bush yesterday? I heard people laughing at Cheney because he was in a wheel chair from hurting his back. They booed Bush when he came out. These people acted like children chanting "hey, hey, hey goodbye" like they were at a rival sports event. Saying good riddance to Bush as he got on the helicopter. I have never seen this at past inaugurations, not even when Clinton took office after the first Bush. You know, you liberals tell us to respect Obama because he is our president, but in the same breath boo at Bush like he is the devil...

This from the party of "reaching across the aisle" and "working together". This speaks volumes of the modern political left in this country. It sickens me.

It's almost as childish as calling Obama the antichrist and claiming is last name proves he's going to be some evil communist dictator or calling his Barack Osama. So yeah, I see no problem. In my views, the right has no reason to be upset over this as they're just as childish towards Obama.

Oh, so now it's not ok? Bush had 8 years of having to eat this shit from the left, but now it's suddenly not ok?

You aren't addressing my point here. I have never once seen a crowd disrespect a President like they did to Bush yesterday. I have never once seen a crowd disrespect Obama... period.

Like I said. It speaks volumes of the left.

No, I never said that. Read my post again if you need to. My point was that both candidates ate shit from all sides. You were acting like this was something new all of a sudden. I'm sure if someone booed Obama, your thread title would have been, "Americans are aware of Obama's Socialist agenda". It's hypocrisy on your end.

Maybe that tells you something about the man and not the people? You ever wonder why so many people were ready for Bush to leave? He wasn't a bad guy, hell I'd have a beer with him, but his politics were highly unfavored. Obama's campaign was such a breath of fresh air and signaled so many great new possibilities of an administration that isn't so far right. Like I've said before, I have no opinion of Obama. I don't care that he's black and I certainly don't assume that he'll be great because of it (like so many bandwagoners subconsciously do) but I believe he has a lot of potential. He sounds like a guy that could turn this country around.

There will always be rude people. Actually, now that I'm thinking of it, there's been plenty of anti-Obama crap at McCain rallies and such. Thankfully McCain was classy enough to stop people or at least ask them too.

Like I said. It speaks volumes of the left.
See, this is your problem pro. Just because a few people were unruly, you assume it of the entire left. Yet when someone makes a similar generalization of the right, then they're villains. I hate to sound rude towards you because I respect you a lot pro, but your views are never split more than twice, you see a lot of things from only two perspectives and that's the kind of thinking that's killing this country. I'll tell you something Obama did that impressed me, he brought on right wingers into his staff and controversial ones at that. He's showing people that he's not afraid to mingle with the "other people".

This, from a guy who can't even make up his mind whether he thinks Obama is a Nazi, a Socialist, or a Communist.. :disbelief:
Ya but I'm not gonna boo the man... I can call him what I want, but I'm not going to boo at him and laugh at him. That is just disrespectful.

Again its the policy of the left to act like this.

Google anti-Bush protests, then google anti-Obama protests... you'll see what I mean.

You know as a disinterested 3rd party, I do notice that with the political left in America. That was rude of them

"The policy of the left"

Seriously? As determined by whom?
Agree with us or you are a hate mongering idiot who doesn't want to move our nation forward. I receive so much hostility from the left because god forbid I want to own a gun, or better yet... tell the government to get out of my life.

It's this childish "Gimme gimme gimme" attitude of the left that chaps my butt. I have a very difficult time finding protests booing Obama because god forbid anyone boos Obama, yet its perfectly OK to boo Bush and laugh at Cheney.
