Santana throws, then heads to New York for MRI

    I was at the workout yesterday and he looked to be throwing fine. Normal velocity, throwing with ease.

    Thats good news for the Mets, but I still believe that they should be careful with him at the beggining of the season, and make sure he doesn't throw to much. Just to evaluate him and see how that elbow is really doing when he's pitching in a real game.

    I am a bit worried about this. Santana's velocity was down a tiny bit last year, which had me wondering if he was hiding an injury. If you have to get an MRI, it's usually not a good thing, and I am hoping he's alright.
