What does everyone think of Russia in its current state, compared to when Russia was part of the Soviet Union. Personally I believe that Russia is doing better then what most people believe, especially if you actually take the time to research. They have a new tank design that is probably about as good as the US M1A1 Abram. Their military is also stronger then what most people believe, that and they still have many nuclear weapons.

Russia today is doing well on one angle but not doing well on others. Putin is cuting benifits to heath and other things. People who turned away from Communism are now going back to it. The major protests were awhile ago. I do not know what he is doing about them now. In Union of Soviets at least people had a job, a home, and little almost no crime. A 14 year old girl could walk down the street in dark and not be afraid. After Berlin wall came down crime in Liepzig went up 400% in one year alone. the Tank you mentioned I think is called the Black Eagle. I jokely call it the T-97/05. The nubers mean dates. I heard that it wasn't to be used in the Russian Army. I do not know if that turned out to be the case. I'll check on it. I do not watch the news that much but as far as I know the info I said is correct.

It is called the Black Eagle, so you are correct on that matter, you live in Russia, yet you call it a Communist society? You do realize the Soviet Union was a Socialist form of government, and never achieved the Communist status that Marx had written about.

There were Communist parties. and Socialist parties. We needed Communist parties to help pave the way into Communism and so on. It makes no sence to have just Socialist parties and just hope we make it to Communism.

You have it wrong, Socialism helps pave the way to Communism, that is what Marx had intended, and what Lenin wanted, Stalin just messed it up. Considering Lenin didnt even want Stalin in power anyway.

I said it wrong. Socialism to Commuisnm yes. I ment without Communist parties to set up, sorry I'm looking for another word, a communist way and what is to be and to be expected then communism would take longer. Haveing just Socialist parties would not move things along. That is what I ment. that is why Socialist and Communist parties are seprate parties yet are on the same road.

The parties were only Communist parties by name, basically everything they did had nothing to do with Communism, considering the fact they had parties to run various thing, when in Communism there is no form of government.
