Not a really surprising move. Outside of that last month in 2007 and the playoffs theyve been terrible with Hurdle as their manager,

The Rockies have reportedly fired manager Clint Hurdle and replaced him with bench coach Jim Tracy.

From bad to worse. Hurdle never seemed like much of a tactician, and it sounded like the players were prepared for a change. Tracy, though, was a brutal manager in Pittsburgh and hardly seems worthy of another opportunity. The Rockies should look outside of the organization for a long-term replacement.

I never thought Hurdle was a good coach to be honest with you. He always seems to make bad decisions. That year they made it to the World Series was a fluke. I dont see him getting another coaching job anytime soon in the Major Leagues.
