I am putting this in the Blockbuster section because I believe it's going to be epic.

Has anyone seen the new Robin Hood trailer with Russell Crow? It looks amazing and filled with tons of action. I think it's going to be the best one yet.

Here's the trailer if you haven't seen it.

Anything with Ridley Scott and the Crow is epic. Gladiator was Fucking sweet, this looks highly comparable. I always thought Robin Hood was a potential great......

The kevin costner one was definitely one of my all time favorite Robin Hood adaptions. I believe Russel Crow tends to be an iffy actor. When put in the right situation he is fully capable of taking his acting to a spectacular level. We've seen this in some of his movies like Gladiator, 3:10 to Yuma, Proof of Life, and maybe even American Gangster. Although Denzel really stole that one like he does basically every movie he's in :hah:

However, those other movies all have that "badass" theme... Crowe plays a very good badass and Ridley Scott can really pull off some Dark Brutal movies...which to my knowledge suits Robin Hood perfectly.

I'll be keeping my eyes open on this one, thanks for posting it! I hadnt heard of it prior to the thread

This has the makings of being a real money earner, Crow can be very believable in certain roles and this could be one of those.
I will certainly see it as the preview looks good but I am not overly excited about it.

Mark Addy as Friar Tuck. Awesome.

It irks me that they say "from the director of Gladiator" - that wasn't even his best movie.

The last I heard about this film, the working title was "Nottingham" and Russell Crowe was to play a heroic Sheriff of Nottingham. I just read on wikipedia that Ridley Scott wasn't happy with that particular script.

Honestly I'm not a fan of epic films. Too dramatic for my taste. As much as I love the Robin Hood legend, I probably won't see this one.

It's not Russell Crow, it's CROWE but anyway I saw the trailer while waiting for Sherlock Holmes to start and the movie looked really good from my point of view, and I am looking forward going to watch it once it comes out.

    It looks awesome.

The plot will sell this movie for me. It has to be believable.

There is one Robin Hood film that no other will compare to, and it is this:

I'd actually never heard of this before this thread, and it looks pretty awesome. However, I'm not sure how it will face up to Kevin Costner's Prince Of Thieves, but we shall see. It certainly holds no ground against Disney's, as you can see by the above clip.

The irony :hah: (J/k bro. :p)

I agree the plot as to be good, but to be honest with you sometimes it's easy to tell from a trailer if it's going to be a good story or not, and from reading a few timbits and watching a few trailers I have a real good feeling it's going to be epic.
