Remove Echo

    Not 100% sure this is the right place to post this, but Advanced in my opinion is appropriate.

    I recently conducted an interview for an over Skype and recorded it. Problem is, the audio of the person on the other end echos - as loud as the orginial. The delay is about 1 second.

    I'm no good in the audio department, so I have no idea how to remove the echo. The only program I have is audacity, but if I need to get something else I will.

    If anyone has any ideas on this, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

    They probably had the speakers turned up and it went through the mic again and that would of made the echo, we have the same thing in chat sometimes.
