The thing I don't get is why they accused her of adultery when she was raped? Or maybe she committed adultery and ended up getting raped?
Also, she is widow. Where is the adultery here?

This is just one case in many. The real shock is that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of similar cases happening in countries across the world still. African countries are especially brutal with their treatment to women and of course, countries like this and in the surrounding area as well.

It could be anything from having acid thrown in your face for looking at a man "in lust" to torture leading to your execution for adultery.

This makes me sick as well. :shake:

That's Sheria Law for you. It doesn't matter that her husband was dead at the time and could have been dead for many years before this. Because she was his widow, she's not allowed to be with another man at all because it'll bring shame or disgrace or whatever to his name. Sheria Law is so completely fucked up it's ridiculous.

And to think, there are people out there that want us to pull out of Afghanistan and let Sheria Law completely take over the Middle Ease.

By that logic the US must continue the war into Iran, Pakistan, China, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, the Congo, DRC and Zimbabwe, for starters.

There is no such thing as rape under sharia law unless 4 men witness it.
Well might as well tie a 6 pack around your neck when walking down alleyways when you feel like a rape is going to happen, that's friggin' retarded. I wonder how they can even live under such rules and regulations such as those.

I noticed that the article was written in a way to say "this is why we need the Taliban out of there." I couldn't agree more. These extreme laws/regimes/beliefs that put women in such a subservient place in society all need to be wiped out.

I just wish that were possible.
