This is just terrible news. The Phils lost their voice today.

He was one of the best...ever.

Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas died Monday after passing out in the press box at Nationals Park.

Kalas, 73, was found unconscious in a broadcast booth as he was preparing to work the Phillies-Nationals game. The Ford C. Frick Award winner had been broadcasting for the Phillies since 1971

I listened to him a few times and he impressed me as a broadcaster. He showed so much passion for the game and the Phillies. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
