Has anyone made the switch to Pellet Stoves? Pellet stoves run on wooden pellets made from saw dust. these pellets are cheaper than Oil. However, these stoves require weekly cleaning, and pellets take up a large amount of space.

My family has a pellet stove. We consume about 5 tons of the stuff every winter, but it is cheaper than oil, and we've saved alot of money. Anyone else use pellet stoves?

A friend of mine, her family uses one. Her dad was telling me how much money he's saved, with just a little extra work to clean it. It puts out a decent amount of heat too. If I had my own house, I'd definitely put one of those in to save money.

I know someone that use to have one, I always tought it was pretty cool. It's less messy then using chopped wood and less work as well. But more expensive.

We use a gas stove at my house.
