These are a few stories I found notable for posting:

Kansas Counties to Test Synthetic Blood

4 Kansas counties are testing synthetic blood, used for major trama paitents.
While most are givin a saline solution, which doesnt give 'oxygen' to the blood streem, this new 'PolyHeme' solution does. (click above link for complete info)

Story of the day that just IRKS me!!

FEMA Suspends Phoenix Rescue Team in Gulf

Basically, the Phoenix team got suspended from hurrican rescue for having 4 ARMED police officers who are considered 'US Marshals', all because those 4 had weapons... WTF... I wouldnt go into that area unless I had a armed escort, Just what is FEMA thinking?

ya know, while there is a 'rule' in place that these teams have to ask FEMA for protection.... the Phoenix team was there right after Katrina hit, WITH officers designated as 'US Marshals' and FEMA accepted them with open arms... then after Rita hit... they turned tail... WTF is up with that?

The Phoenix rescue teams rescues thousands of people from the aftermath of Kartina. Video even shows those who were 'US Marshals' holding weapons. US Marshals have the jurisdiction to go ANYWHERE and uphold law!! Yet when they responeded to Rita they get send home and 'suspended indefinetly'

People in Phoenix are pissed!! as well as me... as Phoenix mayor said, this 'rule' must have been put in place by some burocrat who has never been on a front line.

FEMA still cant get water to certain areas hard hit by the last two hurricanes, but they can get a letter out, and that was recieved friday to phoenix to suspend a team in which save THOUSANDS of lives.

In my opinion, FEMA needs to re-think there stance, FEMA couldnt protect those that were out there saving lives, Hell, FEMA couldnt save a life period...

Just to get my point... FEMA trucks were parked on the side of the road, while trucks from private companies (like Wal-Mart) got to there destinations before FEMA did...

The problems for FEMA have been staggering since Katrina hit. And I for one will not suport nor condone there responce in any way, shape or form!

This not only irks me because this team is from my state, but the fact that this team did more than most and then gets crapped on. More heads need to roll... thats just my opinion!
