New Zealand implements country-wide government internet filter

well I'm all for banning child pornography, but bestiality is.... I'm a little iffy on that. I know child porn is definitely illegal to begin with, but I'm not sure if bestiality is illegal too or just a fetish.

What the fuck? First i've heard of it. But it said the ISP chooses whether or not it uses the filter...I don't think my home ISP is using it, and my work one is. I don't really have an issue either way. I don't look at child pornography or bestiality so i'm unaffected .

I am kinda pissed the government was so secretive about it. Usually with things like this they ask for public opinion and we all get a voting paper sent to us. So yeah...

My main issue would be that I've never seen a filter that always stopped what you wanted it to stop and never stopped other stuff. Maybe this would work since it's more specific, but I dunno...
