USA is still #1

"After the FIBA World Championship 2006 in Japan, FIBA has announced its new world ranking for men's national teams," according to a report on FIBA.com. "After claiming the bronze medal, USA was able to defend its first position before Argentina."

I agree that the Americans should be rank number one because they're still the team to beat even though Spain one the whole thing. Also if players like Amare and Kobe would of played, I think they would of one against the Greece National team, then go on to win the gold medal.

Of course USA is going to be number 1. Look at our players and look at the rest of the world's players. We just lost because of a lack of unity and playing time with each other in our team. Other teams have the advantage of playing with each other all the time. So yeah.

I agree with you on that one, those players play all season together, the Americans don't even have two months to play together. But the reason why the Americans lost, was lack of defense, you cannot let your opponent shoot at a high percentage like the Greek team did.
