Nets Pursued Juwan Howard

Dave D'Alessandro reveals that the Nets recently pursued Juwan Howard, the 6'-9" power forward who plays backup for the Rockets. And he adds, the team may pursue him again. The problem is that the 32-year-old is owed more than $20 million over the next three years and management is split on whether he's worth it. Meanwhile, D'Alessandro drops more hints about the team's downward spiral and even offers up the possibility that as a unit, this team is simply done

That would be a complete killer. Why would we want Howard?

His contract is bad and it's not like he would contribute much at all. We can't just make trades, for the sake of making trades. It's not worth especially since Howard won't even make us contenders either.

We should save it for some good trades instead of making bad ones.

Howard is a decent play but he wouldn't fit in the Nets organization because they already have Kristic and Robinson, and even if the East is weak of centers, I don't see him playing the center position. Also like you've mentioned he makes 20 million dollars for the rest of is contract, and the Nets don't need that on their payroll.
