Well, I told him. He's not happy about it, but rather okay with it. We'll continue hanging out as friends.

So glad to hear that, Earth. Now you can just breathe. :) I really think honesty is the best policy in these sorts of situations; when I put myself in the guy's shoes I think I'd rather hear the truth even if it hurts so that I can move on in regards to other girls.

I agree with what others have said. You did the right thing.

If the chemistry isn't there, then it isn't there. I spent 9 years with a guy because he loved me and because he was such a great guy and I knew I couldn't do any better. It didn't work out, because the feelings weren't there on my side, and I wasted his time, and mine.
