Mystery crater in Utah

Yeah another round mystery crater appeared. This time in a irrigation pond in southern Utah. The only possible cause (so far) is erosion but if thats what caused it then why did it never happen before?

I wonder what all of these recent geologic events are. We've got random giant holes popping up, giant cracks that nobody can explain, and then this crater...

This one seems like it can be probably be linked to the fact that a lot of groundwater was being removed.

Yes I have to agree that is strange. Wonder if the aquifer became low and caved in or there was a cave under the pond.

Seems like lately there have been a lot of unusual events.
