a good idea....though i think people should be responsible when it comes to this. i mean, sometimes i want to listen to music with high volume ..and if the volume has a limit i won't enjoy it...but then again it's better for it to have a limit.

I thought there would have been some sort of standard or regulation already in place for this sort of thing but I guess not. My iPod can get pretty loud but I've had it on max before and it wasn't unbearable. I believe some MP3 players like the Apple ones actually follow certain restrictions so my guess is that the MP3 players in question may not be such popular models.

I think its a good idea and about time, too many times do I hear stories of people having hearing problems from constant listening to mp3 players and how high they had it on.
