Now movies based on the Mob are really way out there. There tons of good Mob movies and they always leave you with your jaw dragging on the floor. With movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas, Mobsters, Casino and so on it's makes you think twice about messing with Italians. lol

When it comes to the Italian mafia the Russians have them beat now, if I'd have to pick then I'd say Russians would completly destroy Italians, they have sooo many weapons, and are VERY ruthless.

Yeah, but back then, the Italians were the masters of organized crime. nowadays the Italian mafia is still around, but laying low. You rarely hear anything about the mafias these days, especially Italians, I hate to say it, with my heritage being nothing but Italian.

It was in the 19th Century that the Italian mafias were in their prime. From Al Capone to Jack "Machine Gun" Magurn, the Italians were the best.

In Mass the mafia controlled most of the Northend and much of Boston.

The Russians rule their empire with bullets a lot more than the Italians did. I agree the Russians are more ruthless than the Italians but the Italians were (obviously) very well organized and they ran their business with class and diplomacy rather than just a bullet.

But anyways, there are a lot of good mafia movies out. Best series, hands down, The Godfather. A classic film about the Italian mafia. Scarface was good, but Toni Montana was Cuban in the movie, not Italian. Goodfellas is another one, and one of my other favorites, The Untouchables.

what you guys say may be true, but whenever someone says mafia or mob, most people would probably think of the Italians.

Nowadays it seems to be switching to Russians when you say "Mafia." The Russians are also very well organized considering how huge they are, they need to make Russian Mob movies.

But that would just be constant shooting and Russian mafia hits on people who opposed them in some way.

And we have enough movies with just those elements.

No it would not, it could go in depth on how Russian mob life is.

I was kind of making a joke there, but I don't think I specified that very clearly.

But still... I just think Russian mafia movies wouldn't be much different from other mafia movies that are out there.

Didn't they have a movie that had something to do with the Russian Mafia? I could've sworn they did. But back on topic what movie have you seen do you like that's based off of "organized crime"?

Mafia! A great comedy movie in the same vein as Naked Gun. While obviously not serious, it's still worth a look.
