This money is definitely premature.

I wouldn't be too surprised if this turns out to be an okay deal for Toronto, but they could have almost certainly paid him less or for less years because he isn't an established star yet.

The only way he was signing is if he was getting this type of money. I think this is a big risk to take, since like you said he's not an established star yet. They should of went to arbirtration in my opinion, give him that ten million he wanted and see if he could put up another great season. Bautista is 30 years-old, and he's only had one great year. Grant it, this is his first time he's been given a chance to showcase his stuff, but I'm still not sold on him.
