Did you guys see this on the news yesterday? I didn't hear about it because I was driving.

An interstate bridge in Minneapolis collapsed yesterday into the Mississippi River.

Yeah, that was just awful
My step dad said that they sould of built a new bridge, because in the old days, only one or two cars would of gone over at one time, but today, it's bumper to bumper.

I just heard on the news that back in 1990 that bridge was declared "structurally deficient".

You would think that there would be a few signs that a large concrete and steel structure was about to fall.

My question is what's going to happen with the other bridge. There were two identical bridges side by side. Each went the opposite direction of the other.

Only one fell, but the other one is structurally identical. So, will they close that one until they have time to make it safe or what?
