McDonald's sued over nude photos

A US couple is suing McDonald's for $3m (£2m) after nude photos of the woman, which were on her husband's mobile phone, ended up on the internet.
Phillip Sherman says he accidentally left his phone, with the photos, at a McDonald's in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He says staff promised to secure the phone until he could retrieve it.
The Shermans claim they had to move to a new home after the womans's name, address, and phone number appeared online along with the photos.
Tina Sherman says she began receiving offensive calls and text messages about the pictures from her husband's mobile phone after he left it at the McDonald's on 5 July.
The couple then discovered that the nude pictures she had sent to her husband's phone had been posted online.
The Shermans are suing McDonald's Corporation, the owner of the franchise involved and the restaurant's manager, saying they have suffered emotional distress, embarrassment and damage to their reputations.
They also allege loss of earnings and want to recover the cost of moving to a new home.
McDonald's Corp, the franchise owner and the manager have so far refused to comment on the case. The nude pictures have been removed from the website that had posted them.
That's why I hate it, when I'm up to no good, people whip-out their camera-phones. They can get you and others into a lot of trouble. I've heard a lot of such stories.

I was going to make a thread about this but I forgot.

It just amazes me how people in society these days, blame anyone but themselves.

It is the staff at fault. The man and woman in question have no blaim in this whatsoever, though I am sure between themselves, he'd have got nothing less that a good ear-bashing from her.

The fault lies with both parties. The MceeDees is responsible for not protecting the personal property of the couple, after being asked to do so. The couple irresponibly left the photos on the phone, and whats the point f that? So the dude can jack off when away from his wife? Whatever, both parties are at fault

She should sue her husband for not being careful and leaving his phone in a public place when he knows very well that it contains very private pictures which risk to be exposed due to his negligence. :hah:

I don't know why she's suing the whole damn company, that just screams "MONEY!" That franchise and it's employees I can agree with.

The husband and wife are definitely at fault. It's hard to say if McDonalds is too. Did someone get a hold of the phone after the staff said they'd secure it? Did a staff member post the pics? Or did somebody find it before any of the staff did?

Kay, maybe I'm the retard, but did it ever actually occur to anyone that if you've got a real problem with all of your nude pictures/sex videos getting out into the public domain, then maaaaaaybe it is a bad idea to make nude pictures/sex videos in the first place?
