So far in 2008, World Wrestling Entertainment has parted ways with a total of 50 performers -- 29 from the main roster and 21 from developmental. 2008 saw some surprising departures in Bobby Lashley, Elijah Burke and Trevor Murdoch, and some not so surprising departures in The Highlanders, Braden Walker and Domino. » Al Snow - Released February 4, 2008
That's the only person I've heard of from the development department. Heh.

This is such a big number that I'm wondering if it's going to increase since there is still about a month and a half of 2008 left. Let's hope that Deuce, MVP and Cryme Tyme make it into 2009.

sigh.... torrie....

we'll miss you. :shake:

Lashley is probably the biggest casualty there i'd say. and Al Snow, even though he hasn't been involved in the show recently, i always hoped he'd be brought back in as a GM or something. One of the best personalities the WWE ever had.

He ran the development territory.

I can't believe WWE released Johnney Jeter and Chett and Jett.

Wow that's a pretty big list, I expected it to be a lot of wrestlers but not this much. But with that being said there's only a few wrestlers that I'm mad they've released. Other then that, it doesn't bother me that much.

With THAT many people listed, why isn't there more people trying to open wrestling companies so that they have a place to go? I know of OVW, ROH and those indy things, but what about another TV wrestling show? I feel bad seeing how big that list is and how many people are out of a job. :'(

Some of those wrestlers were probably just not good enough and hopefully have moved onto doing other things. Some were nobodies and may never been seen again.

I'm kinda surprised, like what Visa said, that WWE didnt give Johnny Jeter more opportunity to shine. I thought he was more talented then Kenny when I saw the Spirit Squad wrestle.
