Linehan to Lions as offensive coordinator

Staff member
Lions hired ex-Rams head coach Scott Linehan as their offensive coordinator.

This qualifies as great news for Calvin Johnson as Linehan isn't afraid to get pass happy, especially in the red zone. Kevin Smith owners should note that he also oversaw the best season of Steven Jackson's career. On the negative side, Linehan had well-publicized disputes with Jackson, Torry Holt, and Marc Bulger in St. Louis.
Good luck to Linehan from this Rams fan. Have fun there buddy.

The Lions are screwed. :)
The Lions have been screwed for a long time.

Anyways. So first Martz and now Linehan. Not too sure what the Lions FO is thinking with the hirings of ex Rams coaches.

But I'm pretty sure it's one of the many reasons they're so bad.

Well if I remember Cam Cameron was a bad head coach but he was a hell of an offensive coordinator the following season and it helped the Ravens out. But that was then and Linehan isn't Cam Cameron so they can only hope the Lions don't go 0-16 two years in a row.
