Los Angeles Times - Kobe Bryant said over the weekend that he expects to be ready for the beginning of the Lakers' training camp.

"By then I should be full bore, completely healed up, strong, ready to go," Bryant said.

Here's where it stands now:

"I can walk fine, go up steps fine," he said. "The pain in my knee is gone. What was causing the trouble, they went in there and took it out. Scar tissue was impinging the kneecap. It was stopping its mobility, so when I bent down it was catching my knee. I didn't have full range."

The laker organization must be thrilled to hear these news, because he's like the Franchise, yes they also have other great players like Odom, and maybe Kwame, and Parker, but Kobe is the catalyst, I think he'll have another good season this year, and the Lakers will improve as well.

Kobe will be Kobe there is no question about that. Guys like Kwame Brown for instance I feel have that capability to make or break the LAkers. I really hope he does do well this year, same with Lamar Odom.
