Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury, his agent Todd France said Monday.

Brown underwent an MRI exam Monday. He twisted his right knee in the third quarter of the Dolphins 49-28 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Brown has been one of the few bright spots in Miami's bleak season. Coming into Sunday's game, he led the NFL in yards from scrimmage and had reached the 100-yard rushing mark for four consecutive games. Brown had 76 yards rushing against the Patriots on 17 carries, and had five receptions for 33 yards.

The Dolphins are off to an 0-7 start for the first time in their 42 seasons.

The Dolphins lost their best player, it's not looking good for the Dolphins, they have a chance to go winless this season. I know it can't get any worst then it already is, but this is going to hurt the Dolphins more then people think, Brown was having a good season so far, and was going for career numbers, it's a shame to see him go down for the rest of the season.

You know what thats ridonkulous he got injured trying to make a tackle on a int return.

Thats just stupid IMO. I dont care how much heart you have to try to make a tackle dont kill yourself. You paid to play the whole year not make dumbass decisions on the field that gets you injured.

I doubt Ronnie Brown thought he would be injured during tackle, its a split second decision I think he made the right chioce besides hurting himself. No one can say Ronnie doesnt play with heart when he steps on the field, and thats what the Dolphins need during these hard times.
