Keyboard with extension

As nowadays most keyborad come with an hand rest extension. This is I think very helpful for those who wok for long hours in the PC. Though I had it for long but I never used it. Recently I am using it after having some problems.

I think Jayadev is referring to a padded armrest in front of the keyboard. That can be helpful, but for someone who has had some carpal tunnel issues, I think the split keyboard is way better for you than the padding...

A padded armrest at the front? Thats pretty useful, as some people might type for more that 5 hours, non-stop, and it can get tiring after a while. But for normal users, its not necessary, is it?
