This is such an interesting story I thought others might like to read it. Paying attention to those stories handed down through the generations can pay off, it did for these people.

I really liked that article.

I wonder if it was more effective because of the method it was passed down. Rather than a dry classroom fact, it was passed on as they would a myth or legend - but completely true. It captures our fascination with legends, but imparts factual information.
