Jack Johnson traded to Kings

Johnson, who is about to embark on his sophomore season with the University of Michigan hockey program, was the centerpiece of a four-player trade consummated with the Los Angeles Kings. Carolina sent Johnson, the third-overall selection in the 2005 Entry Draft, and veteran defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky to the Kings in exchange for young defenseman Tim Gleason and veteran forward Eric Belanger.
Well he's definitely a hot prospect that a lot of teams want (including us Pens), we'll see what happens here.

The only reason why he got traded is because he didn't want to play for the Hurricanes, and they knew that. He declined two contract offers from them. I think he's going to be a star in this league, and the Kings are very lucky to get him. But I also heard good things from Gleason. Belanger, is a decent role player.
