Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced Tuesday that the club has signed free-agent forward J.P. Dumont (JAY-pee DOO-mawnt) to a two-year contract that will pay him $2 million in 2006-07 and $2.5 million in 2007-08.

Good pickup for Nashville because they need to improve somewhere if they want a chance for a cup run. They have 1 good player right now and a decent goalie. They need more above average players, and maybe Dumont can become one.

Very good pick up for the Predators, but I'm very angry because he didn't sign with the Canadiens. I really wanted him, and we needed another scorer. I don't know why Gainey didn't pull the trigger. Because he wanted to play for Montreal.
